Safety is Integral at Southern Lakes Heli Bike
We partner with our sister company Alpine Helicopters due to their intimate local knowledge, extensive mountain flying experience and focus on safety. Operating since 1972 this family run business has a modern fleet of well-maintained AS350 B2 Squirrel helicopters. Combined with a professional aviation team made up of local pilots whose combined skill set and passion for their jobs and the region allows for an industry leading mountain biking experience.
Our comprehensive safety programme is run by our team of experienced mountain bike guides. Our guides provide a great depth of knowledge by operating in New Zealand terrain year round. Southern Lakes Helibike is a certified operator by AdventureMark. AdventureMark is accredited by Worksafe NZ and JAS-ANZ as an approved certification body under the New Zealand Adventure Activities Certification Scheme.
